Belize Jungle Lodges
and Hotels

(Contact us for booking information and availability.)

Pook's Hill Jungle Lodge, a unique Belize jungle lodgePook's Hill is an amazing place.  Deep in the jungle at the end of a long (and sometimes bumpy) ride, lies a very different sort of jungle lodge.

Like birds? Pook's Hill is one of the best places in Belize for bird watching.  (I looked up from my scrambled eggs and was almost face to face with a toucan recently.)

Caving?  Actun Tunichil Muknal is within hiking distance - some guests have described this caving tour as a mystical experience.  Cave tubing is also easily accessible at Cave's Branch.

Horseback riding?  Pook's Hill has its own stables.  Art?  Vicki and Ray Snadden, the owners, are both trained artists, and display a unique collection of Belizean art in the cottages and lodge.

Ruins under Excavation at Pook's Hill, Belize jungle lodgeRuins?  At the heart of Pook's Hill are the ruins of a small Terminal Classic Period Mayan residential complex under excavation by the Belize Department of Archeology.  Xunantunich, Cahal Pech, Caracol and Tikal are also close enough for day trips.

Kayaking, jungle hiking and natural history excursions are also readily available.

Lodging is in well-proportioned thatched cabanas either near the site of Pook's Hill ruins, or the new Birdwalk Cabanas, built high into the jungle canopy, with one wall of windows and a spacious terrace.

Moderate price tier.  Contact us for more information.

Ka'ana Resort Cabana Bedroom, Cayo District, BelizeKa'ana Resort (named for the largest temple at Caracol) offers luxury, attentive service, and a very convenient location just outside San Ignacio Town, near Xunantunich - convenient to most western Belize jungle sites - Cave's Branch cave tubing, Caracol, Xunantunich and Cahal Pech Mayan ruins, Mountain Pine Ridge waterfalls, ATM cave, Macal River, Belize Zoo, Belmopan, Guanacaste National Park, the interior Blue Hole and many others.

Ka'ana Resort Restaurant, Cayo District, BelizeAnd Ka'ana's on-site amenities are quite impressive, beautifully furnished common areas such as the restaurant and lobby, excellent food, specially stocked wine cellar, spa, infinity swimming pool, organic gardens, conference room, and cabanas equipped with flat screen televisions, wireless Internet access, incredibly comfortable feather beds, large baths, sitting areas and two outdoor terraces per cabana.

Upper price tier.  Contact us for more information.
