Private charter sailing
cruises are available for two to 14 people, with a minimum of 3 - 6
nights.
All
private charters are crewed, live-aboard sailing cruises including all
meals, snacks and on-board recreational gear. Some boats, such as the
Div Ocean,
also offer complimentary diving gear including a compressor (captain
is a dive master and first mate is a dive instructor), and some also
include local rum drinks, local beer and wine with dinner in the rate
(Div
Ocean
and Aubisque).
Extra activities such as
guided fly or light tackle fishing and outer-reef scuba diving are available up
on request. Custom land and sea tours, including Mayan ruins,
butterfly farms, jungle hiking, caving, mountain biking and jungle
horseback riding can also be arranged.
Boats
include mono-hulls, catamarans and trimarans in a variety of sizes
from 36 to 65 feet in length with 2 to 6 cabins and include the
Div Ocean, the
Talisman, the
Cattleya, the
Long Gone,
the
Legacy and the Aubisque.
Departures can be coordinated from Belize City, Dangriga, Placencia,
Ambergris Caye, Caye Caulker, or local cayes such as Southwater or
Tobacco Cayes..
Itineraries are varied and depend on the
interest of the guests, and weather, wind and tidal conditions during
the cruise. Charters operate throughout Belize territorial
waters including the outer atolls such as Lighthouse and Glover's Reef
Atolls, and also include the Honduras Bay Islands and the Rio Dulce in
Guatemala.
Nightly boat rates including lodging, meals and all other amenities as
described above range from US$825 to US$3,000 per boat per night, plus cruise
and general sales taxes. (Ground and air transport, shore lodging and other extras
priced on an individual basis depending on group preferences.)
